The Desecrated Peaks in the Rigors mountain range to the north of Ulheim. It is said that Queen Ylspeth’s Scythe cleaved the mountains during her battle against Yligos. An eerie halo surrounds the peaks to this day.

Yligos was an iniquitous God of Heaven, bearing the title of Lord Regent and commanding the sublime host. Ruling over the Far Northron kingdoms, it was said that each of his six eyes looked out over the entire expanse of the world. From under his oppressive thumb, Queen Ylspeth of the land of Ulheim journeyed south to answer the Alchemist’s call. She returned with a weapon, a Godbreaker in the fashion of a colossal warsycthe, and a companion, Bren the Brave of Baron’s Rock. The two had fallen in love in the ancient city of Valvalis, and the Hero of the Rock joined Lady Ylspeth in her conflict against Yligos. Through the tundra of the Far North and the heights of the Rigors, the two lovers battled the vile deity. Swinging her mighty scythe, she felled Yligos, who was then sealed among the Firmament by the eldritch blending of Magick and Science of the Alchemist.
