A FABLED CITY OF RUIN

Valvalis is a mythical city of ruin, its location lost to the mists of time. Where at one time all the peoples of the world flocked to its gates, it is said that now only undead ghouls prowl its streets and a sickly miasma seeps from the dessicated earth. Ages ago, the Alchemist arose in this city of all cities and delved into the secrets of Magick and Science, and in the process awakened Man’s true power. With the Gods of Heaven and Hell waging a devastating war around him, the Alchemist gathered a vast army of Heroes to defend the races of Man. His goal was successful and the Gods were sealed away, but the once great city of Valvalis was completely and utterly destroyed. Where it once stood is a great mystery, but some intrepid explorers have brazenly claimed to have traveled between its toppled towers, though they dare not speak of how they found their way there.
