AN ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL MECHANISTS

The Mechanists’ Guild, or the Worshipful Company of Mechanists as it is formally known, is an association of skilled, professional artisans who oversee the practice of mechanistry among many of the world’s largest cities. Members of the guild enter as apprentices, learning the craft from master mechanists before achieving the title of mechanist themselves. The guild is headed by a grandmaster, a position currently held by Bolador of Carnaim, who is appointed to a six-year term as voted upon by guildmembers. Membership in the Mechanists’ Guild also grants access to higher-paying and higher profile jobs, along with access to guild doctors and healers. Non-guild jobs are usually regarded with suspicion by upstanding mechanists and their apprentices. The Mechanists’ Guild is headquartered in the industrial city of Llandrilo, and holds chapters in Baron’s Cove, Carnaim, Coppertown, Yverdon, Dayspring, and an all-Drow chapter in the city of Drowick.
