The Iron Jubilee of Dowald was held in the sixth year of Dowald’s reign as the 10th Bahn of Balabrelock. A hero of the First Great Schism, Dowald was beloved by his subjects and the Jubilee was well attended by nobility of the nearby lands. Along with these upper class guests, came a retinue of knights, men-at-arms, mercenaries and freelancers all wishing to prove their mettle in the Hastilude, a great tournament held in Dowald’s honor. The Iron Jubilee was especially remembered for the appearance of Dogu, the mysterious Bronze Traveler who won the Hastilude and disappeared shortly thereafter, leaving behind his exotic suit of armor. The tournament featured some of the most famous (and infamous) names of the time.

The Hastilude at the Iron Jubilee of Dowald included some of the most renowned fighters of the time. Somerled, the blind martial arts master of the Redlyons; Delmarva, Postal Knight Second Class of the Continental Postal Corps; Tjadre, a swordfighting prodigy from the small village of Broken Valley; Oxyartes, one of the most brutal wardens of the Bone Camps; the Barbarous Blade of Bandorum, winner of the previous five Hastiludes; Quadrello, Royal Equerry to the Marquis of Monarch’s Ridge; Vandermast, a battlemage of the ferromancy discipline in the employ of the Knights of Saint Helena; Poswick, the dainty Prince of Cartigan Keep who really had no business competing in a tournament; Matochkin, Fifth Sword of the Boreal Guard of Ulheim; Rossiter, Lord Commander of the Balabrelock Wallwatch; Tilaney, the majestic Senatrix of Oakendeer astride her cornibus mount; Drover, Lord Forester of the woodlands surrounding Balabrelock; Licancabur, the Old Crowl, a formiddable fighter in his youth; Fontainebleu, the High Mage of the Stellar Remnant mercenary force; Vallad, Knight Marischal of Balabrelock; and finally, Dogu, the mysterious Bronze Traveler.
