the Old Fathers
The Fathers of Men were those humans living in the time when the Gods walked the earth, and are the patriarchs of all men living today. Scholars are conflicted whether those named Fathers were actual individuals or ancient tribes, as their names and especially their lifespans seem to be the stuff of fiction.
As the legends say, the First Man was Hatham, created by the Gods to serve them. Hatham married his sister-wife, Yvalis, and begat Quedlin, who begat Witwer, who begat Echigo, who begat Rhedmonat, who begat Tamarack, who begat Ysabedden, who begat Uxor, who begat Iddo, who begat Olinth, who begat Phalaros, who begat Aberlednock, who begat Senyaka, who begat Dumach, who begat Falkreddin, who begat Gevolt, who begat Helgo, who begat Jabiru, who begat Katanga, who begat Lamerok, who begat Zazagaro, who begat Xezbeth, who begat Cromac, who begat Vixtane, who begat Bachisto, who begat Nemherot, who begat Melehan. All men, so they say, are descended from Melehan, who lived in the time when the Heroes vanquished the Gods.
