A member of the Reedfolk who live on the outskirts of Nothelm, she was born with a misshapen body which caused her to be shunned by her kin. She was chased out into the swamps of the Sorrowood where she joined a coven of woodwitches. In time, she became gyre carline of her coven and took the name once used to ridicule her, the Babayaga.
