FAMOUS TRADING COMPANY HEADQUARTERED IN EDLEM
September and Company, one of the world’s most famous trading companies, was founded many centuries ago by an enterprising merchant named September of Otehall. Hailing from the small village of Otehall, which was once situated somewhere between Hobkirk and Listowel, September joined the 1st Baron Novotny on his exploration west. While Novotny built his barony along the expansive bay to the southwest, September continued north and gathered other merchants around him to found the trading empire which would eventually bear his name. In time, Edlem would become the headquarters for his company and a great department store, the first of its kind, would come to dominate the skyline of the town. Over the centuries, September and Company has imported and exported all manner of exotic wares from tea sherbet mixed in the ancient city of Rho to the krakenstalk whips wielded by the sellsails of the Sklavensea to manastones unearthed in the excavations of Drogismega. The Lord Director, usually a member of the September lineage, has always been at the forefront of exploration (and exploitation) of lesser known regions all over the known world.

CHAMBERLANE
SEPTEMBER OF OTEHALL, founder of the company and compatriot of the 1st Baron Novotny. Spent his life exploring new lands and trading commodities and delicacies with the people he encountered. In his later years, he lead an expedition to the Elodus Light and spent several summers hunting prattlehorn in the tundra around Winter’s End, before retiring to Edlem where he laid his head to rest at the age of 102.
FINNSTROM, 3rd Lord Director of the company and great-grandson of September of Otehall. He tunneled deep beneath Monarch’s Ridge, searching for the fabled lost treasure of the Possum King. Instead he discovered a massive vein of coal that is still quarried at the Low Sun Mine. The Finn Mining Guild, a subsidiary of September & Company, handles all mining contracts with Baron’s Cove to this day.
HOBWALDEN, 13th Lord Director of the company. Sullen and aloof, he would come to be obsessed with occult writings concerning the banishment of the Gods. He was never seen without his faithful raven companion, Viore. He discovered the Witchfinder’s Vaults beneath Amon Quat, but died shortly after opening them. Some say he sacrificed himself and all 23 members of the expedition in some eldritch ritual, while others claim their lives were robbed by the Witchfinder’s Curse.
CHAMBERLANE, 75th Lord Director of the company. Hailing from the westron city of Dayspring, he was the first director not born of the September lineage. He took over operations of the company for the ailing Lord Grovert, who named him Lord Director on his deathbed. He would go on to found the Chamberlane Silver Mine in the Harshlands. He was also elected Chief Administer of the Guilforge and held both positions until his death at age 63.

LINDAUER
VOSKAMP, 81st Lord Director of the company. He left the family trade and joined a mercenary band that fought for the Sotaherra of Auld Lochnora before his father’s death elevated him to the status of Lord Director. In his role as director, he led an excavation beneath the fortress at Caerlyon, unearthing a trove of pre-Cataclysmic Drow artifacts. He was pursued by pretenders to the Rookery of the Crowlands, themselves searching out Drow artifacts to prove their claims, until defeating them in a climactic battle atop Mount Tully.
POLICASTRO, known as the “Ruddy Red Giant”, 143rd Lord Director of the company. He led an expedition into the ruins of Codegus and claimed to have found the fabled Infinite Gardens of the Triarch’s Palace. He brought back countless treasures, which he gifted upon nobles around the world. The First Elector of Limerot was so impressed he begged Policastro to take him to the gardens, however their aeroship was lost in a blizzard somewhere over the Northron Wastes.
DELPHINE, nicknamed “the Dauntress”, 290th director and 1st Lady Director of the company. She was the widow of Lord Helmund, a direct descendant of September of Otehall. After his passing, she assembled a crew and sailed far out into the Crystalsea. She returned several months later having claimed to have found the ruins of Valvalis. She would make many return trips over the following years, but never revealed its location. The Reaver King Sarindar, eager to learn the route to the ancient city, abducted her, but she escaped his clutches just before his fleet disappeared into the Crystalsea.
LINDAUER, 333rd Lord Director of the company, from the Loftwick branch of the September family. Known less as an explorer and adventurer like his predecessors, and more of a gambler and a womanizer. He is most famously remembered for being the one who raised the Throne of Gologmagog from the scalding depths of Belzub’s Pool in the Guilforge. Said to have been drowned in the somewhat less scalding water of the Kettle by a seductress known as the Bandit’s Bride from the nearby Black Ithacat cabaret shortly after collecting a hefty sum from the Lord Administer.
CARDUINO
CARDUINO, current Lord Director of the company, from the Llandrilo branch of the September family. He inherited the title of Lord Director when his older brother, Dalton, declined the position. One of his first acts as director was to commission the explorer Moherron to carve a new route through the Cloudsea dubbed the “Sky Corridor”. He founded an outpost on the Shell Perdido, a large mass of hardened cloud, several leagues out from the mountaintop settlement of Endicott. Often criticized as spending “too much time in the clouds”.
