THE NATURAL STUDY OF THE PHYSICAL WORLD

Science is the study of the physical, natural world. There are countless disciplines, from chemists who study substances and elements to biologists who study the foundations of life to geologists who study the structure of the earth. Scientists and mages have long been at odds with each other, but various disciplines have delved into a dangerous and often occult practice of blending Science and Magick in strange and supernatural ways. These Unnatural Sciences are often shunned by the scientific community at large.

The Alchemical Sciences, practiced by alchemists, are byfar the most mysterious and dangerous of the Unnatural Sciences. Alchemy seeks to prolong the life of man by way of magickally infused elixirs and philtres, unfortunately many such experiments end with horrific results.

The Arcane Sciences, practiced by arcanists, are responsible for the invention and manufacting of aeroships and automatons. Rather than dismissing Magick, arcanists have harnessed the properties of mana to power their magnificent flying machines and automata.

The Numerological Sciences, practiced by numerologists, blend the study of mathematics with the magickal properties of numbers. For ages, numerologists have worked tirelessly to unravel the complex mysteries of infinity.

The Astrological Sciences, practiced by astrologists, have for many years been at odds with the more conventional Astronomical Sciences. Whereas astronomists used mathematics and physics to study and predict the movements of the stars, astrologists used Magick to attempt to influence these movements and predict the future of events on earth.
